Expanding Access to Homeownership Opportunities

Social Impact

Homeownership is more than a transaction. It is a pathway to stability, economic mobility, and healthier outcomes. PreQualy is building mobile-first, AI-powered infrastructure that helps people and communities unlock pathways to homeownership—while improving coordination across nonprofit, business, and government sectors.

Economic Impact

Homeownership remains one of the most reliable ways families build long-term wealth. Yet for many working households, affordability and access to support programs remain out of reach because resources are fragmented across agencies, lenders, nonprofits, and local jurisdictions.

In Q2 2025, 78% of U.S. counties were considered unaffordable to typical workers using standard lending criteria. At the same time, billions in housing assistance and program funding go underutilized each year due to low awareness and complex eligibility processes.

PreQualy is designed to help communities unlock that value. For every 1,000 homes unlocked through PreQualy’s model, an estimated $367 million in economic value can be generated through purchasing power, local tax contributions, and market stabilization. By 2030, PreQualy aims to support 1 million families and unlock $10 billion in underutilized public and private housing funds.

Health Impact

Housing is widely recognized as a key social determinant of health. Stable housing influences stress, financial security, neighborhood safety, and access to services.

National research also shows meaningful differences in health outcomes between renters and homeowners. A CDC analysis of nearly 402,000 U.S. adults found renters were more likely than homeowners to report several chronic conditions, including coronary heart disease, diabetes, asthma, stroke, and kidney disease. These patterns were especially pronounced among adults ages 45 to 64.

While homeownership is not a substitute for healthcare, it can strengthen conditions that support better long-term outcomes. Homeownership is associated with residential permanence, more predictable housing costs, improved ability to maintain housing quality, and a stronger sense of control. These mechanisms can reduce chronic stress and support healthier life trajectories over time.

PreQualy functions as connective infrastructure across the housing ecosystem. The platform centralizes fragmented homeownership resources, supports AI-enabled program alignment, and improves visibility and coordination without replacing existing agency systems.

Equitable access to homeownership should not depend on insider knowledge. It should be structured, visible, and accessible. PreQualy is building the infrastructure to make that possible.
